Donald C. Myers

Pine Hill-
     Donald "Butch" Myers, 60, of Academy Street Pine Hill died Thursday August 9, 2018.  He was born in Poughkeepsie on December 16, 1957 son of the late Donald and Lucille Benjamin Myers.  Butch was a life time Catskill Mountain's resident, aside from a short time he spent as a Union laborer in MN.  Locally he had been employed by various roofing contractors.  He had an appreciation of nature, and always enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was an avid NY Yankee's fan, and was skilled at tinkering to get things working again.  Butch will be remembered as a quiet, gentle soul.
     Surviving are his daughter Ashley Myers, 3 sisters: Leslie Gavette of Margaretville, Cheryl Myers of Fleischmanns, and Mary Guglielmetti of Deposit.  A brother John Fields of TN, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
     A Service to Celebrate the Life of Butch will be held on Monday at 10am at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. Phoenicia.  Private burial in the Shandaken Rural Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Friends will be received on Sunday evening from 7 to 9pm at the E.
