Gwendolwyn F. Hughes

     Gwendolwyn F. Hughes, 83,  died March 19,2019 at the Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck.  She was born July 6,1935 in Kingston daughter of the late Frederick and Eva Walker Hughes.  An area resident for the 47 years, she assisted her husband with the bookkeeping for family owned Apache Generator business.  She was a talented knitter and crocheter. She filled her home with loving cooking aromas, and diligently canned vegetable from her garden.  She had a green thumb in the flower gardens, and enjoyed reading books.   

     Surviving are her daughters: Ginger Minervini and Cynthia Hughes, 3 sons: Timothy, Duwayne, and Russell, 3 grandsons: Joseph, Joshua, and Aleck, 2 sisters: Dolly and Lorraine Hughes,2 brothers: Evan and Harold Hughes.  She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth in 2017. 

     Her funeral services will be Saturday at 12 noon at the Olivebridge Methodist Church Rt. 213.  Private burial in the family plot at the Tongore Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Saturday from 11am to noon.  You may share a special memory with the family on Gwen's Tribute Wall at gormleyfuneralhome.com  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the E.
