Albert Jack Hazarossian

     Albert Jack Hazarossian, known affectionately as "Jack" to his loved ones, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, in Lake Katrine, at the age of 81. Born on November 17, 1943, in South Community Hospital in Oceanside, Long Island, Jack was the cherished son of Albert and Maria Lombardi Hazarossian. In 1955, the family relocated to West Shokan, where Jack would spend the rest of his life. He graduated from Onteora Central High School in 1964, leaving behind a legacy of friendship and academic dedication. Shortly after, Jack began his professional journey at Treble Construction in Boiceville, before joining the team at Utility Platers in Kingston in 1965.  Jack's industrious spirit led him to Ametek, formerly known as Rotron, in 1967, where he dedicated more than four decades to manufacturing. An avid sportsman, Jack's passion for hunting and fishing was rivaled only by his love for nature walks. His appreciation for the great outdoors was a constant throughout his life, providing him with solace and joy in equal measure. In his youth, Jack was an active member of the Boy Scouts, an experience that instilled in him a lifelong commitment to community and leadership. This commitment carried over into his adult life as he became a valued member of the Bushkill Rod & Gun Club.  
     Jack's legacy is carried on by his loving family, including his sister Dolores Scofield, brother-in-law Chester Scofield, niece Dorraine Scofield, nephew Brian Scofield, and niece-in-law Penny Scofield. His warmth, wisdom, and kindness will be missed by all who knew him, including his furry companions Mocha, Lily, Cali, Venus, and Cameron, who brought him immeasurable comfort and companionship.

     His funeral service will be held on Wednesday Oct. 1 at 10:30 am at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. Phoenicia.  Burial in the family plot at the Mt. Pleasant Rural Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4-6pm at the E. B.
