MT. TREMPER – Alfred Darrow, 78, of Erika’s Walk died Sunday, May 17, 2026, at his residence. Born August 11, 1947, in Jacksonville, Fla. He moved to the area in May of 1969. He was a multi-faceted artist/craftsman who was well known in the Woodstock and Phoenicia area.
Survivors include his wife, Susan, two sons: Purdey Darrow of Woodstock and Zenka Darrow of Shandaken. A daughter, Tiffanie Mazanek, of Raleigh, NC and a sister, Charlotte Darrow. Four grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received Friday, May 22, from 4-6 PM at the EB Gormley Funeral Home, Main St. Phoenicia.
