Boiceville-
Allan Nissen, 89, of Boiceville died Saturday October 1, 2022 at the Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson. He was born January 28, 1933 in Long Island son of the late Folmer and Anna Prior Nissen. Allan was a self employed carpenter in the construction and building industry for 55 years. He continued to use his talents and expertise conducting home inspections for an additional fifteen years. He loved nature, and the outdoors. He had a motorboat on the Hudson, and was a past member of the Kingston Powerboat Assn. He would avail himself to both water skiing and Alpine downhill skiing. Additionally he was a licensed flight pilot who maintained his own airplane for years. Allan was a motorcycle enthusiast exploring the byways of the Catskills, and enjoyed a day at the golf course. He was an avid NY Ranger's hockey fan, as well as the NY Yankees.
Surviving are his children: Christian Nissen, Terry Lynn Cuomo, and Robert Nissen. Three grandchildren also survive. He was predeceased by his wife Kirsten, son David, grandson Travis, and brother Warren.
Friends will be received on Friday from 6 to 8pm for a memorial visitation at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. Phoenicia. Private interment will take place at the family plot at the Mt.
