Chandra Lencina, 91 of Pine Hill died Monday April 25, 2022 at the Albany Medical Center. She was born also on April 25 of the year 1931 in Ft. Wayne, IN daughter of the late Dr. Alan Raymond Chambers and Ann Weaver Chambers. Chandra was a gifted artist, talented at working with various media. I the early 1950's she was one of Two Starving Artist in the French Quarter of New Orleans. She subsequently became an assistant publicity director for Tiffany & Co. in NYC. Chandra has completed portraits, worked with acrylics and oils, and created prints using the aquatint and mezzotint process. She excelled at designing beautiful hand-carved leather designs, and dabbled with textile fashion designs. In the early 1980's she and Peter opened Cloudspinners in Pine Hill. They designed and built fine custom furniture, as well as restoring antique furniture. She had an appreciation of nature, and enjoyed tending her vegetable gardens.
Surviving are her partner of 43 years Peter DiModica, and son Alan Donnels of TN. She was predeceased by her son Daniel Lencina in 1986.
