Diane Kowalchyk, 70, of Chichester died peacefully at home on April 19, 2023 after a battle with cancer. She was born August 17, 1952 in Brooklyn daughter of the late Stanislaw and Marie Rostanio Kowalchyk. Diane had been a real estate broker in New York City for nearly 20 years. A part-time resident since 1987, and full time since her retirement in 2017, Diane was very active in the canine Boxer world. She was a world class breeder and handler who had won many awards. She was secretary of the American Boxer Club, member of the NY Boxer Club, and past president of the NJ Boxer Club. She traveled throughout the United States showing her dogs. At home, Diane enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and cooking Italian meals. She was a avid fan of the NY Yankees.
Surviving is her partner of three decades Wayne Morris of Chichester. Additionally her Boxers: Lily, Ava, and Pandora as well as her feline companion Lucy will miss her dearly.
Her funeral service will be Sunday afternoon at 3:30pm at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. Phoenicia with Fr. Tom Wilhelm. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm at the E. B.
