With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother,
grandmother, sister, and aunt, Eeo Stubblefield, who left this world peacefully on
November 8, 2025.
Eeo was an American Postmodern dancer and choreographer who worked with dancers Simone Forti and Anna Halprin. Eventually inventing a combination of photography and dance that she named, “Still Dance”. She was a certified Transcendental Meditation instructor and a certified Permaculture Designer. Eeo was a free spirit whose creativity and kindness touched everyone who knew her.
An artist in every sense, she found beauty in the world around her. She rarely stood still. Her photographs, still dance and gardens brought joy to her and many people. Through her art, she left behind living testaments of her vibrant soul. More than anything, Eeo cared deeply for people. Her son and granddaughter were her pride and joy. Her home was a museum which was a haven of creativity and compassion, where family and friends were always embraced like sunlight through the trees and gardens she tended so lovingly. As a mother and grandmother, she was endlessly supportive, encouraging her family to live authentically and chase joy without hesitation. As a sister and aunt, she brought laughter, light, and unconditional love to every gathering, which she always made special.
She will be profoundly missed by her son Ramsy Stubblefield, granddaughter Katarina Paturel, sister Mary Rose, brothers John B and Charlie G Gallagher, 9 nieces and nephews, 16 grand nieces and nephews , and dear friends, all of whom will carry her spirit in their hearts and in every flower that blooms. She will be welcomed by siblings Helen, Cathy and Chip Gallagher
As Eeo would love to say: May the long time sunshine upon you
All Love surround you…
And the pure light shine within you, guide your way on
Her hands may rest, but her love continues to grow — in gardens, in hearts, and in the art of living freely. In lieu of flowers, people can donate to the “the table at Woodstock” which is the Woodstock food pantry.
A private service will be held at the cemetery. You may share a special memory, photo,or condolence with the family on Eeo's Tribute Wall at www.gormleyfuneralhome.com
