Frank T. Rauchut of Rt. 42 died Thursday April 28, 2022 at the Kingston Hospital. He was born Nov. 7, 1933 in Brooklyn, son of the late John and Frances Woods Rauchut. Frank was a veteran of the US Army, and continued his service to his country as a member of the American Legion Post #950 where he was treasurer, and an active member of the Military Honor Guard at funeral services. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 282 and was last employed as a truck driver for Gilmore Pipe Supply. Frank was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was meticulous at landscaping around his home and at carpentry projects which he enjoyed. He was a longtime parishioner and usher at the St. Francis de Sales Church. Frank liked things kept in good order, and would share his opinions with you. Most of all he was the loving patriarch of his beautiful family.
Surviving are a daughter: Veronica (Chris) Frka; two sons: Joseph (Linda), and John (Rose) Rauchut all of Staten Island. 7 grandchildren: Christopher, Jaclyn, Nicholas, Danielle, Nicolette, Jessica, and Thomas. He was predeceased by his wife Harriet in 2015, and son Frankie in 2003.
His funeral procession will form on Monday at 10:30am at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. Phoenicia, thence to the St. Francis de Sales Church where at 11 am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial with military honors at the St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at the Gormley Funeral Home.
