Glenn Corey Shultis, 65, of Boiceville, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 24, 2022. He was born on September 1, 1956 in Kingston, to the late Sherwood and Barbara Shultis.
Corey is survived by his wife Deborah, his children Amy, Corey Jr., and Olivia, their families,and stepdaughter Desiree. He was known as Pop Pop to his 9 grandchildren: Alyssa, Brooke, Hailie, Christian, Ilyanna, Shai, Brayden, Brie, and Luca. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Sharon, Alan, Craig, Dona, and Dale, and their families.
Corey travelled across the country many times as owner/operator of his tractor trailer. In 2001, while working for WorldCom, he repaired fiber optic cables to restore telecommunications after 9/11. He also volunteered, and later received an honorary certificate and 9/11 memorial blanket from the city of NewYork.
Corey enjoyed riding his motorcycle and traveling in his RV. He loved spending time in his garage,whether it was fixing his car or someone else’s, building model tractor trailers, or simply hanging out with family and friends. Everyone appreciated his sense of humor, his willingness to help others by giving instruction and advice, and his generosity to all.
A Memorial Mass will be 11am Saturday April 23rd at St. Francis De Sales Church Main St. in Phoenicia.
Memorial arrangements are under the direction of the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St Phoenicia. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the St Francis de Sales Church, or the Phoenicia Food Pantry.
