Jamie D'Entremont Obituary

Boiceville-

A service for Jamie will be held at Kingdom Hall Rt. 28 Shokan at 2pm on Saturday June 27th.

Jamie A. D'Entremont, age 82, of Boiceville, passed away on June 12, 2026, leaving behind a life marked by faith, creativity, devotion to family, and a deep care for others.  She was born on July 23, 1943, in Calumet, Oklahoma, to the late James and Hazel Winnette Smith. Jamie carried the values of her upbringing throughout her life, and those who knew her best will remember her as a faith-filled woman whose kindness, warmth, and steady presence touched many lives.

Jamie made her home in the area beginning in 1968, and over the decades she became a familiar and cherished part of the community. She was the beloved wife of Arthur D'Entremont and the mother of Corbet D'Entremont of Troy. She also leaves behind three grandchildren.   She was predeceased by her son, Lawrence, in 2019

Jamie was a skilled and talented acrylics painter who shared her gifts generously with others. For many years, she taught private art classes, encouraging students with patience and creativity. Through her artwork, she captured the beauty of nature in landscapes, many different kinds of animals, and even animated cartoon pieces that reflected her playful imagination. Her work was admired not only for its skill, but also for the spirit and joy it conveyed.

In addition to her artistic talents, Jamie was a devoted crafts person who loved crocheting and knitting. She created many treasured items that were often given as gifts, each one made with care and thoughtfulness. She valued people deeply and expressed that value in the time, effort, and attention she gave to others. Her home and her life were filled with the quiet generosity that defined her character.

Jamie and Arthur traveled to many different countries, where they shared witness and evangelism with others. Her faith was not simply a part of her life, but the foundation of it. She was deeply focused on Bible study and found strength, comfort, and guidance in her beliefs. Her spiritual devotion shaped the way she lived, the way she loved, and the way she served.

She also enjoyed cooking, and she found pleasure in preparing meals that reflected her care for those around her. Whether through art, craft, travel, study, or the simple acts of daily life, Jamie lived with purpose and sincerity. She will be remembered as a woman of conviction, creativity, and compassion, whose life reflected both strength and gentleness.

Those who knew Jamie will remember her as someone who lived with faith and grace, and who brought beauty into the lives of others in many ways. A service for Jamie will be held at Kingdom Hall Rt. 28 Shokan at 2pm on Saturday June 27th.  You may share a special memory, photo, or condolence with the family on Jamie's Tribute Wall at www.gormleyfuneralhome.com  Mark Wilsey is honored to assist the family of Jamie D'Entremont.
