Louis G. Scism Jr , 54 of Boiceville died Wednesday Nov. 24, 2021 in Myrtle Beach, SC.  He was born June 13, 1967 in Kingston son of Karen Orr Scism VanKleeck, and the late Louis Scism Sr.   He was a native and life long area resident and graduate of OCS.  Louis was a construction laborer.  He had a great appreciation for nature, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and football.  He was an avid NY Giants fan, and a devoted Harley Davidson rider.  He was supportive of his community as a member of the Sons of the American Legion.  He was always smiling, and could be counted on to help anyone.  Louis lived life to the fullest.  His motto was : Face Your Fears --  Live Your Dream!

Surviving in addition to his Mother are his sons: Greg (Nicole) Scism and Jeffrey Scism, fiance: Melissa Grant, step-father: Wayne VanKleeck, step-mother: Agnes Scism, siblings: Brian (Roberta) Scism, Thomas J. (Mary) Collins, Shawn (Terri) VanKleeck, Robert, Eugene, and James Schoonmaker, Dawn (Ron) Reiff, Joshua Cook, Collin Schlegel, and Brittney Potter.  Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. 

A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 12 noon at the St Francis de Sales Cemetery Rt 28 Shandaken  Friends will be received on Saturday morning from 10am to 11:45am at the E  B  Gormley Funeral Home 97 Main St Phoenicia
