     Marcella Marie Redmond May, 75 of West Hurley passed away while surrounded by her family and friends at the Health Alliance Hospital Mary's Ave. Campus Kingston on March 28, 2023.  Marcy, as she was lovingly called by most, was born October 24, 1947 in Margaretville daughter of the late Mathias (Matt) Redmond and Marcella Mulligan Redmond.

     Marcy was employed by Onteora Central Schools at Woodstock as  the head cook for many years.  She was known for her warm heart, great laugh, and always offering anyone who came to her home a cup of coffee and a warm meal.  She was always concerned about others, and shall be greatly missed by many.  

  Surviving are her  children: Michael L. (Colette) Stock Jr.,  Melinda (Charlie) May, Matthew "Matt" May and four grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband Henry "Hank" May and two half sisters: Charlotte Redmond Ohliger and Beatrice Redmond.

     Her Funeral  Procession will form on Saturday April 1st at 11:45 am at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. Phoenicia, thence to the St. Francis de Sales Church where at 12 noon her Funeral Mass will be celebrated.  Friends will be received on Saturday morning from 10 am until Mass time at the E. B.
