Michael D Wholey

     Michael D. Wholey, 76, died Wednesday June 9, 2021 at his residence.  He was born September 20, 1944 in Lawrence,MA son of the late Thomas and Marion Downing Wholey.  He had been an area resident for 40 years.  Michael was a Captain in the American Merchant Marines, and as such, was a world wide traveler.  His tours would take him out on the high seas for three to six months at a time.  Michael has summered on Fire Island for years, and simply enjoyed socializing on the golf course.

     Surviving are his Aunt Verian Kellner, cousins: Gregory (Kristen) Kellner and Verian (Stewart) Tuttle.  He was predeceased by his wife Veronika Heitbrink.

     A graveside service will be held at the Woodstock Cemetery on July 17th at 12 noon.  You may share a special memory or condolence with the family on Capt.
