Nathan VanLeuvan, 60, of Rt 28 Big Indian died Friday November 19, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie. He was born June 12, 1961 son of the late Willie and Margaret Rotella VanLeuvan. He was a native, and life long area resident. He had an appreciation of nature, and valued the time he spent hunting and fishing. His trips to New Jersey to fish blues were the source of many stories! He was catcher for the softball league, and shared many a good time. Nathan was a caring and loving individual who had a great sense of community. He had a smile and joke for everyone, and loved his family above all else. Nate was a groundskeeper of the Onteora Central School district for over 37 years.
Surviving are his wife Louise Benjamin VanLeuvan, two daughters: Maria and Sarah, and three sons: Joseph, Craig, and Christopher. Two sisters: Ella Gille of Shokan, and MargaretLewis of Rome,NY Two brothers: Bill of Shandaken and James of NJ Five grandchildren + one to arrive soon He was predeceased by siblings: Tina Marie, Robert, Gary, Steven, and Thomas VanLeuvan
