Phoenicia-
Patricia Lanzer-Ryan, 72, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at her son’s home where she was being cared for and surrounded by her loving family. She was the youngest of three children of the late Raymond and Helen Remick, born in Queens, NY on December 22, 1948. Patricia has lived in Phoenicia for over four decades and has a strong network of family and friends in the community she loved. As the matriarch of the family, being with her children and grandchildren brought her many years of joy, laughter and special memories. She loved Jesus and developed many life-long friendships through her church communities. She cherished spending time with friends and family, enjoying good food and of course yummy sweets! She loved to shop and fancied accessorizing her outfits with jewelry. Patricia appreciated the beauty of nature and found great joy in caring for and feeding many of God’s animals and birds. She had an incredibly generous spirit and was as sharp as a tack and strong willed to the very end.
Pat was so loved by her family and her daily phone calls will be sorely missed. Surviving are her children, Helene Lanzer (Seth Goldhammer), Kenneth Lanzer (Dawn Devoe) and Elisha Ryan (Max Berry), along with two grandchildren, Amber Lanzer and John Berry, and her former spouses, Kenneth Lanzer Sr. and Stephen Ryan.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday September 25 at 1030am at the St. Francis de Sales Cemetery Rt. 28 Shandaken. Friends and family will be received on Friday from 330-630pm at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. Phoenicia. In an effort to be mindful, and protect yourself and others, masks are requested. You may share a special memory or condolence with the family on Patricia’s Tribute Wall at gormleyfuneralhome.com.
