Patricia M. Searle, 77 of Townsend Hollow Road died Saturday April 10, 2021 at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown.  She was born August 18, 1943 in Margaretville daughter of Mary Oliver Cure and the late William H. Cure.  A native and life long resident, her family was paramount to her.  She helped to raise family generations, and was their most ardent supporter.  She took great pride in maintaining her home and landscape by gardening, mowing, and trimming.  She valued time to sit on the front porch in the sunshine with family.  Patricia had a special penchant for shopping, crossword puzzles, and listening to genuine county music.  Her family describes her as "someone who was in-charge".

Surviving are her Mother Mary Oliver Cure of Pine Hill, a son Duane and his wife Kim, daughters: Leslie and her husband Tim Johnsmeyer, Kimberly and her husband Todd Wickham, a brother William "Bud" G. (Joanne)Cure, sister: Alice Brannen, and sister-in-laws: Barbara (Jim) Davis and Linda Thomas. Her grandchildren: Timothy (Chelsea) Johnsmeyer, Ashley (Nick)Bouton, Kaitlyn (Lance) Beers, Joshua, Matthew, & Brianna Wickham, Blake & Tyler Searle, great grandchildren: Travis, Tucker, Paisley, Brantley, Stella, one great grandchild on the way, and several nieces and nephews also survive.  She was predeceased by her husband Donald Searle in 2010.

A Family Service to celebrate the life of Patricia will be held on Tuesday.  Friends will be received on Tuesday afternoon from 2 to 4pm at the E. B.
