Paul was well known for his fun-loving personality, charitable nature and advocacy for independent restaurant owners in the state of New York. Paul was also known for his love of animals and his ability to build incredible relationships. Paul was a long-time member of the Phoenicia Rotary Club, where he hosted the weekly meetings for years. He was also distinguished in Rotary as a Paul Harris Fellow. The great memories he helped create will be cherished by his family, friends, customers and staff at Al’s restaurant. Paul’s two greatest loves were his son, Gregory and his dog and constant companion Maestro. Gregory, along with his daughter-in-law Stephanie, had Paul’s granddaughter Mila and grandson, Jackson. Paul adored his grand kids and they enjoyed visiting him in Florida and lovingly referred to him as “Grampy.” Paul’s other remaining relatives include his sister, Rita Pettinato Landy of Catskill, New York, his brother, Fred of Durango, Colorado.
