Olive Bridge-
Peter S. Kranenburg, 77 of Olive Bridge died Saturday March 26, 2022 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born May 3, 1944 in Jersey City, NJ son of the late Peter and Mollie Bilebof Kranenburg. He served his country in the US Army during the VietNam era. A life time area resident, Pete graduated SUNY Environmental Science & Forestry Ranger School at Wanakena, NY. He was a talented welder, logger, and sawmill operator. He had a can-do attitude, and was owner and operator of his licensed blasting enterprise. He was a member of the NRA, was a skilled Marksman's rifle shooter, and hunter. His appreciation of nature and the great outdoors included interests in astronomy, photography, and alpine skiing.
Surviving are his wife Karen McClatchey Kranenburg whom he married in 1987. His sons: Peter (Madeline), Matthew (Andrea), and Michael. Seven grandchildren and a nephew also survive. He was predeceased by his sister Marie Warnes in 2009.
A private graveside memorial service will be held at the Mt. Pleasant Rural Cemetery, Mt. Tremper. Memorial arrangements are under the direction of the E. B.
