Sally Jean Caldarise

     Sally Jean Caldarise, 76, of Big Indian died Friday March 11, 2022 at her residence with her husband at her side.  She was born October 1, 1945 in Port Chester, NY daughter of the late Frank and Sarah Smith Marrello.  Sally had been a home health aide in Westchester for many years.  An area resident for the past 21 years, she married Sal Caldarise on June 8, 2002.  She enjoyed leisurely walks and hikes with Sal, as well a vegetable gardening and cooking in the kitchen.  She is described as one of the most compassionate and caring individuals in the world.

     Surviving are her husband Salvatore Caldarise, niece Barbara, and nephews Peter, Michael, Mark, and Joseph.

     A Service to Celebrate the Life of Sally will be held on Saturday at 11am at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. with Rev. Lee Stowe as celebrant.  Burial in the St. Francis de Sales Cemetery Rt. 28 Shandaken.  Friends will be received on Friday from 3pm to 5pm at the E. B.
