Stanley Moskowitz, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family on December 17, 2024, in Olivebridge, at the age of 91. Born on November 29, 1933, in Manhattan, yet a native of the Bronx, Stanley was a man of exceptional talent and creativity, whose zest for life and art left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Stanley proudly served his country as a member of the US Army from 1957 to 1959 and was honorably discharged. His commitment to service continued throughout his life, as he became a beloved area resident since 1969. Stanley's professional life was marked by his remarkable skill as a self-employed graphic artist. His passion for photography led to several self-published works that showcased his keen eye for beauty and storytelling.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Stanley was a dedicated former Board Member of the Olive Library, where he contributed many years of service. His involvement with the library was a testament to his belief in the importance of community and lifelong learning.

Stanley's artistic talents were not limited to his professional work. He was also a talented photographer, sculptor, and artist, whose works were a reflection of his deep appreciation for the world around him. His love for jazz music often provided the soundtrack to his creative endeavors, and he could frequently be found taking photographs of the Bald Eagles at the Ashokan Reservoir. Stanley had a unique ability to capture a story with his candid shots, which were as expressive as they were beautiful.

Family was the cornerstone of Stanley's life. He is survived by his daughter, Hannah Moskowitz, and son, Jedediah. His legacy continues through his grandsons, Joel  and his wife Daysha Johns Moskowitz and their child expected in May; and Bailey Moskowitz, who will carry forward the lessons of kindness and creativity he instilled in them. Stanley's sister, Shelia Smith, will fondly remember her brother's warmth and wit. He was predeceased by his wife Jo Eno as well as his parents, Irving and Bertha Jaffee Moskowitz, who instilled in him the values of hard work and dedication.

Stanley's life was a tapestry of rich experiences and enduring relationships and a gifted sense of humor like no other. His presence was a source of joy and inspiration to his family and friends, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Stanley's memory will live on not only through his family but also through the countless lives he touched with his art and his generous spirit.
