Susan Holzer

     Susan A. Holzer, 68 of Ava Maria Drive died Sunday January 10, 2021 in Phoenicia.  She was born February 19, 1952 in St. Augustine, FL, daughter of the late Alex and Dolores Holzer.  An area resident for over 40 years, She was a pioneering individual who had a keen appreciation for the wonders of nature and the beauty of the Catskills.  Susan had a green thumb for tending to her flower, vegetable and herb gardens.  She cared for all animals large and small, was an enthusiastic collector of crystals, and had a special affinity for the ocean.  Susan was a gifted artist who enjoyed using watercolors.  She was a nurturing individual who will be missed by all who shared in her life.

     Surviving are her two sons: Ryland and Casey, her brother and sister Alex Holzer Jr and Virginia Holzer. 

     Her service will be held privately.  A gathering to honor and respect her memory will take place at a safer date in the future.  You may share a special memory or condolence with her family on Susan's Tribute Wall at gormleyfuneralhome.com  Arrangements are under the direction of the E.
