Thomas E Ocker, 71 of Tannery Brook Road died Saturday July 11, 2020 at Achieve Rehabilitation & Nursing in Liberty of cancer complications. Tom worked for many years at Numrich Arms/Gun Parts Corp of West Hurley as a parts specialist. He was passionate about historical firearms and known worldwide as a Mauser Specialist. He was an exquisite artist and painter whose lifelike portraits captured the true essence of each subject. He was a skilled silversmith and created many timeless pieces of jewelry unique to his skilled hand. He was a history buff and enjoyed studying world history as well as local. He was an aspiring luthier and a general tinkerer and craftsman. The beauty he left behind will be treasured for all time.
Tom was known as the unofficial "Mayor of Woodstock", a name he wore with pride. He enjoyed sharing stories and speaking with the colorful people of Woodstock and was looked up to by many and a treasured friend to all.
