Wayne Fredericks

Wayne Fredericks, 67, of Shokan died suddenly Tuesday July 15, 2021 at his residence.  He was born Sept. 23, 1953 in Poughkeepsie son of the late Charles and Dolores Soldatich Fredericks.  Wayne had been the Store Manager at Caldor in Kingston for many years.  He later worked for United Health Care in the claims department.  Wayne was focused on his family.  He loved his grandchildren that affectionately called him "Boppa".  He enjoyed spending time working on projects with his family, and drew great satisfaction from simply helping others.  He is described as a generous, talented, and easy going individual who genuinely valued friendships.  He had a great technical skills, which allowed him to assemble the hardware of many home computers.  Wayne had an appreciation for the beauty of nature, and often dedicated his days to landscaping around his home.  

 

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Georgene Geuss Fredericks, his children: Alison (Joshua) Jones, and Nicholas  ( Ellie) Fredericks, brother: Charles (Janet) Fredericks, grandchildren: Alexander, Chloe, Corwin, Aria, and Tristan, cousin: Karen (Robert) Punzi , 3 nieces and 2 nephews also survive.

 

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4pm-6pm at the E. B.
