Lanesville-
Burdett Booth, 85 of Rt.214 Lanesville died Sunday August 26, 2018 at the Golden Hill Nursing Home in Kingston. He was born April 3, 1933 in Kingston, son of the late Carvalle Booth and Myra Griffin Booth.
He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Korea and attained the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, German Occupation Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He continued his service to his community as a former member of the Phoenicia American Legion Post #950. Burdett was a self employed painter for many years. He enjoyed landscaping, working in his yard, and tinkering in his shed. He had an appreciation of nature, and loved animals.
Surviving are his companion of 25 years Flora Babcock of Lanesville, a son Lance, two daughters:Tammy and Kimmy, and 3 grandchildren also survive. He was predeceased by his son Darren.
A graveside service with military honors from the Phoenicia American Legion Post #950, will be held on Saturday September 22, 2018 at 1:30pm at the Hudler Cemetery Rt. 28 Mt. Tremper. You may share a special memory with the family on Burdett's Tribute Wall at gormleyfuneralhome.com
