Woodland Valley-
Andrew M. Poncic Jr. 52, of Woodland Valley died Wednesday Sep. 6, 2023 at his residence. He was born October 26, 1970 in New York City son of the late Andrew and Daria Mychajliw Poncic Sr. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Economics at NYU, and his Juris Doctorate from NY Law. He furthered his education in horsemanship and riding skills at the academy in Prague, Czech Republic where equine training is conducted for the Royals. Andrew had mastered four different languages, had the mind of an engineer, and was an accomplished mechanic who specialized in restoring World War II Jeeps. He was a member of the "G503" Jeep enthusiasts and the owner of a prototype MA Jeep. Andrew had an appreciation of nature and the beauty of Woodland Valley in the Catskill Mountains. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, and loved animals.
Surviving are his wife of eleven years Wallis Flood-Poncic, and four legged companions: Willy and Cody.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday Sept. 14th at the St. Francis de Sales Church Main St. Phoenicia at 12:30pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. Phoenicia. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Shandaken Animal Volunteer Effort.
