Anne Gibbons

     Anne P Gibbons, 84, formerly of Rt. 28 Phoenicia, died peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at the Hudson Valley Rehabilitation Center in Highland.  She was born on May 12, 1937 in Long Island City, NY, daughter to the late John B and Mary V (MacDonald) Gibbons.  Anne attended St. John’s University and the Barbizon Modelling School in New York City.  She was an administrative assistant at the Paulist Fathers in New York City with most of her career spent at J Walter Thompson Advertising Company and Bozell Jacobs Kenyon and Eckhart Advertising. 

Anne was a native and long-time resident of Queens in the same house in Woodside, NY for most of her life.   She was also a part-time and lifetime resident of Phoenicia, NY, summering there as a child and, as an adult, spending week-ends and vacationing with family in their beloved, red, family cottage by the Esopus Creek.   Above all Anne was a wonderful and kind Aunt, sister, cousin and friend, never missing a birthday or occasion with a call, greeting card, or a letter.

Anne was predeceased by her siblings, Edmund, Maureen, and Margaret.  She is survived by her many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family and friends. 

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated May 12, 2022 at 10am at the St. Francis de Sales Church Main St. Phoenicia.  Inurnment at the Family Plot in the St. Francis de Sales Cemetery Rt. 28 Shandaken.  Arrangements are under the direction of the E.
