Shandaken-
Carol Berryann of Rudy Frank Road Shandaken died peacefully Saturday December 25, 2021 at the Kingston Hospital with her family at her side. She was born March 19, 1945 daughter of the late Elijah and Laura Rose Quick. A native and life long area resident, she was a school bus driver for many years at First Student/ Birnie Bus Co. Carol was the matriarch of the family, and was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had an appreciation of nature, and enjoyed tending her flower gardens, and watching the hummingbirds at the feeder. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her children: Burton (Doreen) Berryann Jr., Sally (Dennis) Piland and Carol (William) Busch. Grandsons: William(fiance-Jessica) and Warren(partner Wilmer) Busch, Kevin Davis, Dylan Berryann and Serin Sickler, Granddaughters: Katelyn (Scott)Wallner, and Kayla Puetx. Great grandchildren: Aiden Saehloff, Jazalyn and J'nala Lewis. Sisters: Loretta VanLeuvan, and Arlene Schmeidel, Brother: Harold Quick. Sister-in-law and dear friend: Linda Storey. and her four-legged Boxer Peyton. She was predeceased by her husband Burton Sr. granddaughter Jennifer Davis Cappello, siblings: Wilson, Elijah Jr., Arlis, and Herman Quick, Grace Vitarius, Ester Krom, Elaine Krom, and Rita Berryann.
The family will gather privately for a graveside service at the Mt. Pleasant Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to hvhospice.org or the SPCA.
