Dorothy Bloodgood 97, passed away peacefully October 2, 2021.
She was born in Denver, NY on April 18, 1924, the daughter of the late Judson and Hildred Weeks who owned and operated the Denver Store. Judson bought Margaretville Hardware in 1936 and upon Dorothy's graduation from Albany Business College, she became the secretary. She and her late husband George Bloodgood, later moved to Margaretville to help run the business. She retired in 1987.
Dorothy was an avid reader and enjoyed taking walks. While growing up, she raised many pets but especially loved dogs and they adored her in return. Her Scottish Terriers were her pride and joy.
Donations in her memory can be made to the Humane Society or any charity of your choice.
Graveside Service and interment in the family plot were arranged by the Gormley Funeral Home 87Main Street Phoenicia.
