Harold Quick Obituary

Lanesville-

     Harold C. Quick, 90, of Lanesville died Wednesday March 8, 2023 at Tenbroeck Commons in Lake Katrine.  He was born in the Town of Rochester on December 30, 1932 son of the late Elijah and Laura Rose Quick. His wife Rita Sweet Quick pre deceased him in 2002. Harold honorably served in the US Army from 1952 to 1959, and then in the US Navy from 1959 to 1963. He was a former Scout Leader, and he and his wife Rita were members of the Stony Clove Rod & Gun Club.  He worked for Rotron in Woodstock for almost twenty years as a machinist.  Harold was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan.  He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.  He kept a keen eye on the weather, and considered himself well versed on most all topics.

    Surviving are his sisters: Loretta VanLeuvan and Arline Quick Merwin Schmeidel. Several nieces and nephews also survive.  In addition to his wife Rita, he was predeceased by his siblings: Wilson, Elijah Jr., Arlis, and Herman Quick, Grace Vitarius, Esther Krom, Elaine Krom, Reita Quick Berryann, and Carol Berryann.

     Friends and family will be received on Sunday from 3pm to 4pm at the E.B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. Phoenicia. Military honors by the Phoenicia American Legion Post #950 will take place at 3:45pm.  Burial in the family plot at the Mt.
