KINGSTON-
Helen M. Quick, 86, of O'Neil Street died Tuesday February 18, 2020 at Golden Hill Health Facility. She was born March 15, 1933 in Phoenicia, daughter of the late George and Josephine Hamilton Foster. A native and life long area resident, Helen's family was paramount to her. All activities of her life, centered around her family. She loved to host family gatherings, was a fabulous cook, and her coleslaw was legendary. She was an avid bingo player and was always up for a good card game. Her family recalls that their Mom was a beautiful, caring, and loving individual. She was always focused on helping others.
Surviving are her son Lester of West Park, daughters: Sharon Quick, Debra Miles, and Jolene Francisquini all of Kingston. 25 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. She is predeceased by her husband Lester in 1996,and her children: James, Della, Barbara, Bernadine, Donna, and her siblings: Velva,Barbara, George, and James.
A Celebration of Life for Helen will be held on Saturday at 12 noon at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. Phoenicia. Burial immediately following in the family plot at the Mt. Pleasant Rural Cemetery. Friends will be received on Saturday morning from 10am until service time. You may share a special memory with the family on Helen's Tribute Wall at gormleyfuneralhome.com
